Well I am sorry to upset you and I hate to tell you this, but it is no longer possible to do everything on your to do list any more. It is incredibly difficult for most of us to admit that we can't do everything anymore for a variety of “status anxiety” and “job protection” reasons.
Well guess what -- you can't!
One of the biggest challenges we face is deciding what kinds of activities and responsibilities to give up. Quite often, we get so entrenched in what we think we should be doing, that we forget to pay attention to what we what we gain from all the activity. So when it comes time to stop doing of some things we have a struggle trying to identify those parts of our lives that add the least value.
Some activities in life are unpleasant, outside of our range of expertise, or just not what we want to spend our time on. And there is nothing wrong with admitting that you don't want to do something, as long as is no longer necessary or you can find someone else to do it for you!
The purpose behind creating a not-to-do-list is to help identify chores, errands, and daily responsibilities that you can stop doing or could delegate to another person.
